Summary:PURPOSE: A non-volatile semiconductor memory device for electrically rewriting data, an electronic card using the same, and an electronic apparatus are provided to reduce the number of devices and the manufacturing cost of a system by forming a predetermined area for storing booting data within a ROM. CONSTITUTION: A non-volatile semiconductor memory device includes a plurality of non-volatile semiconductor memory cells, an interface unit, and a control circuit. The interface unit receives and transmits data from or to an external device to write or read data with respect to the non-volatile semiconductor memory cells. A control circuit(2a,2b,3a,3b,4a,4b,5a,5b) is used for controlling the non-volatile semiconductor memory cells. The interface unit and the control circuit include a first read mode booted via a first bootstrap to read data from the non-volatile semiconductor memory cells for continuously outputting (N+M)-byte data via the interface, and a second read mode booted via a second bootstrap to read data from the non-volatile semiconductor memory cells for continuously outputting K-byte data via the interface.
