Summary: | PURPOSE: A broadcast service method using coding in a mobile communication system and a system thereof are provided to reduce congestion of a system by providing a broadcast service only to a normally registered terminal and simplifying a registration and/or billing procedure of the terminal. CONSTITUTION: A terminal transmits a first registration message without a registration identifier to a base station in a request for a broadcast service(a). The base station responds with an ACK message and transfers position information of the terminal to an exchange or an AAA server for registration(b). The base station transfers an IOS message including time stamp information and a BCS_ID to a PDSN(Packet Data Service Node)(c). The PDSN transmits an accounting request message including accounting information to the AAA server(d). The AAA server stores the accounting information and transmits an accounting reply message to the PDSN(e). The PDSN generates a mask key and transmits an ACK message including the mask key to the base station(f). The base station transmits a DBM(Data Burst Message) including the mask key or generation information to the terminal(g). When the terminal receives the mask key successfully or generates the mask key successfully upon receiving the generation information, it transmits an ACK message to the base station(h). The base station codes broadcast data received from a broadcast server with the mask key and transmits coded data to the terminal(i). The terminal generates a second registration message including a registration identifier and transmits it to the base station(j). When a third registration message is received within a valid time, the base station disregards the third registration message(k). |
