Summary:PURPOSE: A method for supplying a broadcast service in a mobile communication system is provided to enable a terminal to transfer broadcast accounting/authenticating data of a user to a new broadcast PDSN(Packet Data Service Node) from a PDSN which manages an accounting/authenticating profile of the user. CONSTITUTION: An MS(101) receives a BSPM(Broadcast Service Parameter Message)(301), and transmits a registration message to a BS(105)(303). A broadcast service is supplied from the first PDSN(109a)(305,307). The MS(101) generates a registration message including a previous broadcast service identifier and a new broadcast service identifier to transmit the message to the BS(105)(313). A PCF(Packet Control Function)(107) receiving an IOS message checks whether the two identifiers should receive broadcast services from different PDSNs(317). If the PDSN is changed, the first PDSN(109a) is selected(319). The PCF(107) selects the second PDSN(109b) according to the new broadcast service identifier(325). The second PDSN(109b) stores authentication/accounting information, and prepares to supply a broadcast service(327,329). The PCF(107) transmits an IOS reply message to set a bearer path between the BS(105) and the PCF(107)(333). The broadcast service is provided to the MS(101) from the second PDSN(109b)(335).
