Summary: | PURPOSE: An LCD fabricating method is provided to improve the display characteristics by setting a parameter with at least one of voltage, temperature, intensity of illumination, and radiation time for forming polymers. CONSTITUTION: In an LCD fabricating method, at least one of voltage, temperature, intensity of UV light, and radiation time is set as a parameter when forming polymers to set pretilt angle and tilt direction of liquid crystal molecules by polymerization of monomers to obtain desired γ characteristics of black luminance. For example, voltage is set to 0.1v-100v, temperature is set to -30°C-250°C, intensity is set to 1mW/cm2-10000mW/cm2, and radiation time is set to 1msec-24hours. At least one of concentrations of polymer components, polymerization initiator, and polymerization inhibitor is set as a parameter for obtaining the desired optical characteristics. |
