Summary:PURPOSE: An extensible object previewer of a shell browser displaying multiple items representing multiple item types is provided to enable a user to easily find out a location of user's file and select one previewer from multiple usable previewers. CONSTITUTION: A window(300) is a GUI(Graphic User Interface) of a universal shell browser and represents a display area of a screen size. The window includes a preview pane area(302) and a view area(304). The preview pane includes preview control(306), edit or metadata control(308), and task control(310). The preview control provides the user with an image or visual display of other preview items, and control of an iterator button moving a focus to the next item by user's click. The edit control provides the user with the control for the metadata as well as the display of necessary features for the previewed item. The task control includes a task related to a namespace and/or selection.
