Summary:PURPOSE: A pedestal for a washing machine is provided to simplify an installation process and to shorten operation time by fixing the washing machine on the pedestal without a combining tool. CONSTITUTION: A pedestal for a washing machine is composed of a pedestal body(50) for holding the washing machine at the predetermined height; a plurality of supporters(60) mounted on the upside of the pedestal body and hung with the lower ends of legs(80) fixed to the washing machine; and a fixing member(82) assembled to the legs to closely contact on to the upside of the pedestal and to fasten the legs to the pedestal body. The pedestal comprises a bottom face part(62) supporting the legs and a guide unit(64) protruded upward from both ends of the bottom face part. A hanging unit(64a) hung with the legs is formed on the upper end of the guide unit and projected toward the legs.
