Summary:PURPOSE: A method of reducing latency for non-call delivery paging is provided to reduce the latency in the non-call delivery paging by permitting a paged mobile station or paged party to conduct operations that are normally prohibited after receiving a page message but before receiving a release message. CONSTITUTION: The device comprises a calling mobile station(10), the first wireless network(12), a PIT server( 16), intranet or internet(14),a database(13). A method of reducing latency for non-call delivery paging includes a process for performing a prohibited operation. The process is achieved by performing a prohibited operation without waiting for a release message at the mobile station when a page message identifiable as an audit-only page message is received. The prohibited operation is an operation prohibited from being performed after receiving the page message for paging the mobile station and before receiving the release message for releasing the prohibition.
