Summary: | PURPOSE: A method for fabricating a micro capsule type electrophoretic display panel to be driven by external fields is provided to uniformly fill micro capsules serving as micro pixels in barrier grooves of a structure in the barrier rib pattern, thereby realizing the high resolution. CONSTITUTION: A method for fabricating a micro capsule type electrophoretic display panel to be driven by external fields includes the steps of forming electrodes by etching ITO electrodes formed on a lower substrate(200). A photoresist layer is formed with a dry thickness of 100-150§ on the electrodes. After positioning a patterned mask on the photoresist layer, micro capsule filling barrier rib pattern is formed of the photoresist material by UV exposure and development. Around the lower substrate formed with the barrier rib pattern, a seal layer(220) having an inlet(215) and an outlet(216) is formed for injecting a mixture solution of micro capsules and UV curing solution. In the seal layer, barriers(231) are formed to be disposed by pixel interval. As ultrasonic vibration is applied to a panel the micro capsules(313) are smoothly inserted into spaces(250) between the barriers to be accurately arranged in lines and rows. After inspecting whether the micro capsules are uniformly filled in the spaces in one stage, an upper substrate formed with transparent electrodes for covering the micro capsules is attached to the lower substrate. UV light is radiated for fixing. |
