Summary:PURPOSE: An apparatus for controlling automatic opening/shutting of a stovepipe for a proportional control type boiler is provided to reduce fuel consumption and improve thermal efficiency by automatically controlling the opening/shutting of a damper according to the opening degree of the boiler. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for controlling automatic opening/shutting of a stovepipe is composed of a transformer(111) lowering input voltage and supply power to a damping motor(12), a first relay(AX1) for opening/shutting a damper, a second relay(AX2) for shutting power supplied to the damping motor, a third relay(AX3) for driving a combustion unit, a fourth relay(AX4) for shutting power supplied to the damping motor, a fifth relay(AX5) for connecting the damping motor to an opening transmitter(120), limit switches(112,113), and a position signal converter(114) for outputting a signal from the opening transmitter to an opening indicator(115).
