Summary:PURPOSE: A method and system for allocating delayed resources are provided to enable a server to delay resource allocation in response to a request from a client and keep resources against an ill-willed, malfunctioned and erroneously constructed client. CONSTITUTION: A server receives a request for a service or a communication function from a client(500). The server checks whether the requested function can be supported(502). If the server can support the requested function, it accepts the request but informs the client that the client cannot use the function yet(504). If the client requests some functions that are provided only to an authenticated client, an authentication procedure is performed(506). If the client is failed for authentication(508), the server rejects the request(510). If the client is successfully authenticated, the client and the server are communicated with each other, and if necessary, the server checks whether sufficient resources are available(512).
