Summary:PURPOSE: A method and a device for transmitting a data block of a variable size to an addressable memory having an ECC(Error Correction Code) function are provided to prevent a read, correct, and write operation by using a controlled buffer and tag with a transmitted tag information. CONSTITUTION: The memory(250) stores the addressable data by the word protected by an ECC circuit(260). An RPTB(Read Pending Transaction Buffer)(400) stores received words and each tag for the received words. A control circuit(350) makes the RPTB unify a portion less than a word size of the received data and the data stored in the RPTB matched with the data stored in the memory based on an order by the tag stored in the RPTB.
