Summary:PURPOSE: A signal transmission apparatus and a wiring structure are provided to reduce a power consumption by arranging a directional coupler for transmitting only a wide band alternating current component of a digital signal. CONSTITUTION: A signal transmission apparatus comprises a signal transmission line(1) having a transmission terminal, a receiving terminal, a characteristic impedance, and a signal line component having a resistance-capacity delay, wherein the signal transmission line transmits the digital signal input to the transmission terminal; a first driver(2) having an inverter structure and an on-resistance, wherein the first driver supplies the digital signal to the transmission terminal of the signal transmission line; a power ground transmission line(3) for supplying power to the first driver, wherein the power ground transmission line has a characteristics impedance sufficient to drive the sum of the on-resistance of the first driver and characteristics impedance of the signal transmission line; a first receiver(4) having a differential amplifying structure, wherein the first receiver receives the digital signal from the receiving terminal of the signal transmission line and detects the received digital signal; and a first directional coupler(5a) connected between the first driver and the transmission terminal of the signal transmission line and between the receiving terminal of the signal transmission line and the first receiver, such that the first directional coupler blocks a direct current component of the digital signal and passing a wide band alternating current component of the digital signal.
