Summary:PURPOSE: A handover method in a wireless LAN, and a handover device of a mobile node are provided to bring information of access routers in advance in booting a mobile node, thereby reducing handover latency in the case that a handover is started by an L2 trigger. CONSTITUTION: A DIT(Distributed Information Table) information requesting unit of a mobile node(310) multicasts a message for requesting DIT information to an access router(320) of the corresponding BBS. The access router(320) searches for DIT information which is stored in the router, transmits the DIT information to the mobile node(310). The mobile node(310) stores the DIT information, a BSS(Basic Service Set) ID, a prefix, and address information in a DIT information storing unit. L2 trigger is generated in the mobile node(310), and a beacon scan unit receives a beacon from an NAR(New Access Router)(330) to recognize BSSID of the NAR(330). The mobile node(310) searches for the DIT information stored in the DIT information storing unit by referring to the recognized BSSID of the NAR to obtain prefix information of the corresponding NAR(330). A binding update processor of the mobile node(310) generates a CoA(Care of Address) by using the obtained prefix information. A binding update message is transmitted to the PAR(Previous Access Router)(320) by using the CoA. 본 발명에 따라 무선랜 환경에서 핸드오버 방법, 모바일 노드의 핸드오버 장치 및 무선랜 환경에서 이용되는 ICMP 메시지 구조가 개시된다. 상기 본 발명에 따른 무선랜 환경에서 핸드오버 방법은, 모바일 노드 부팅시 모바일 노드가 현재 위치하는 BSS상의 액세스 라우터에게 액세스 라우터들에 관한 네트워크 정보인 DIT(Distributed Information Table) 정보를 요청하는 단계와, 상기 액세스 라우터로부터 DIT 정보를 수신하여 저장하는 단계와, 모바일 노드는 상기 저장된 DIT 정보를 이용하여 바인딩 업데이트를 수행한다. 이와 같은 본 발명에 의하면 소규모 무선랜 환경에서 L2 트리거 이후에 수행해야 하는 핸드오버 동작을 감소시켜 핸드오버 래턴시를 줄일 수 있게 된다.
