PURPOSE: A wireless iris recognition system is provided to apply to all devices and use the system regardless of a height of a user by separating an iris image picturing part and a certification part. CONSTITUTION: The system comprises a portable iris recognition terminal(100) wirelessly transmitting the data picturing an image of a user's eye to a controller and the controller performs certification by receiving the data from the portable iris recognition terminal. The portable iris recognition terminal comprises a camera(102) picturing the image of the user's eye, a memory(105) storing the data of an eye image pictured by the camera, a main board(104) compressing the eye image data stored in the memory, and a wireless transmitter(107) transmitting the compressed eye image data wirelessly. The controller comprises an iris image database, a wireless receiver, the main board, and a lock controller. 본발명은 무선 홍채인식 시스템에 관한 것으로, 사용자 눈의 영상을 촬영한 데이터를 제어기로 무선 송신하는 휴대용 홍채인식 단말기와 상기 단말기로부터 무선으로 홍채이미지를 전송받아 사용자 인증을 수행하는 제어기로 구성된 것을 특징으로 한다. 상기 휴대용 홍채인식 단말기는 사용자의 눈영상을 촬영하기위한 카메라와 상기 카메라로부터 촬영된 눈영상 데이터를 저장하는 메모리 장치와 상기 메모리 장치에 저장된 눈영상 데이터를 압축하는 메인보드와 상기 압축된 눈영상 데이터를 상기 제어기로 무선으로 전송하는 무선 송신부로 구성된 것을 특징으로 하며, 상기 제어기는 사용자의 홍채이미지중 가공된 특정데이터가 저장되는 홍채이미지 데이터베이스와 상기 단말기로부터 홍채이미지 데이터를 무선으로 수신하는 무선 수신부와 상기 수신된 눈영상 데이터에서 홍채부분 이미지의 특정데이터를 추출하여 상기 데이터베이스에 저장된 데이터와 일치여부를 확인하는 메인보드와 상기 메인보드로부터 상기 양 데이터의 일치여부 신호를 받아 락(Lock)을 제어하는 락(Lock) 제어부로 구성된 것을 특징으로 한다. 또한 상기 휴대용 홍채인식 단말기에는 사용하고자 하는 제어기를 선택할 수 있는 키패드가 더 구성될 수 있으며 홍채와의 거리를 측정하는 거리센서와 상기 거리센서에서 측정된 거리값으로부터 유효거리 여부를 표시하는 LCD가 더 구성될 수 있다.
