Summary:PURPOSE: Provided is a method for preparing polymeric granules having an increased bulk density when used as an additive in the production of detergent tablets to give increased particle size, hardness and mechanical strength of the detergent tablets. CONSTITUTION: The method for polymeric granules comprises the steps of: (a) introducing an emulsion polymer having a Tg of -20 to 250 deg.C as seed particles; and (b) spraying an aqueous solution of emulsion polymer to the seed particles in such a manner that the granules have a particle size of 100-3000 micrometers and a bulk density of 500 g/L. Particularly, the polymeric granules are polymeric dispersing agents and includes one or more homopolymers or copolymers of monomer selected from the group consisting of acrylic acid and methacrylic acid.
