PURPOSE: A method for inputting a password in a keyphone system is provided to enable a user to use a password without exposing the password to others by changing the password up to 5 digits, thereby improving security. CONSTITUTION: A user inputs a password(S401). A keyphone system confirms whether the inputted password is equal to a terminal number of the user(S402). If so, the keyphone system confirms whether the password is equal(S403). If so, the keyphone system normally operates to connect a call(S404). If the password is not equal to the terminal number of the user or the password is not equal, the keyphone system disables the call. 본 발명은 패스워드 입력 방법에 관한 것으로서, 특히 키폰 시스템이나 간단한 5~12개의 짧은 패스워드를 사용하는 시스템에서 보안을 강화할 수 있는 패스워드의 입력 방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명은 키폰 시스템에서의 패스워드를 입력하는 방법에 있어서, 히든 패스워드로서의 단말 번호와 패스워드 양자 모두를 하나의 패스워드로 하는 것을 특징으로 한다. 또한, 보호되는 메모리의 영역을 관리하는 데이터베이스는 변화가 없는 것을 특징으로 한다. 또한, 상기 하나의 패스워드에 사용자 ID도 추가되어 함께 패스워드 기능을 할 수 있는 것을 특징으로 한다.
