PURPOSE: A leg injury-preventing device of a brake pedal for a vehicle is provided to reduce the injured degree of driver's legs by preventing the brake pedal from being pushed toward the room although a dash panel is pushed toward the room. CONSTITUTION: In a brake pedal(1) for a vehicle, the upper end of the brake pedal is hingably fixed to a dash panel(2) and the middle part is connected to a rod(6) of a brake booster(5) mounted to the dash panel. In a leg injury-preventing device of the brake pedal for a vehicle, the rod is inserted into a hollow rod(7) hingably fixed to the brake pedal and the inserted state is maintained by a locking device(8) mounted to the hollow rod. The locking device is connected to a hydraulic cylinder(9) mounted to the dash panel, by hose(10). The hydraulic cylinder releases the locking state of the locking device by operating as the brake booster is pushed, in a collision. 본 발명은 자동차 브레이크 페달의 다리 상해 방지장치에 관한 것으로, 브레이크 부스터(5)의 로드(6)가 브레이크 페달(1)에 힌지고정된 중공로드(7)의 단부에 소정량 삽입된 상태를 유지하도록 록킹장치(8)가 구비되고, 이 록킹장치(8)는 대쉬패널(2)에 장착되어 상기 브레이크 부스터(5)의 밀림에 의해 작동되는 유압실린더(9)로부터 유압을 전달받아 록킹상태가 해제되도록 되어 있으며, 또한, 상기 브레이크 페달(1)은 인장스프링(11)에 의해 항상 대쉬패널(2)쪽으로 당겨지도록 된 구조로 이루어진다. 따라서, 충돌 발생시 실내쪽으로 진입되는 브레이크 부스터(5)에 의해 유압실린더(9)가 작동되어 록킹장치(8)의 록킹상태가 해제되면, 로드(6)가 중공로드(7)의 내부로 삽입되면서 브레이크 페달(1)이 대쉬패널(2)쪽으로 이동하게 된다. 따라서, 브레이크 페달(1)을 통해 운전자의 발로 과도한 충격이 전달되지 않게 됨으로써 운전자의 다리 상해치가 경감될 수 있게 된다.
