Summary: | PURPOSE: A solid electrolytic capacitor is provided to allow for a current control at a low temperature and after manufacture even when the capacitor has a high temperature during manufacture. CONSTITUTION: A solid electrolytic capacitor comprises a capacitor element(15) including a dielectric coating layer(2), a solid electrolytic layer(3), and a cathode lead-out layer(4) sequentially formed on a surface of an anode body(1) having an anode lead-out member(16). An anode terminal member(61) is connected to the anode lead-out member, and a cathode terminal member(62) is connected to the cathode lead-out layer. The capacitor element is coated with a sheath resin portion(7). The cathode terminal member is connected to the cathode lead-out layer through a current control unit(20). The current control unit includes a current control layer(21) where an electric resistance reversibly increases by over-current or over-heat; and a pair of plate or foil shaped electrode members(22a,22b) where the current control layer is interposed. The electrode members are bonded to the cathode lead-out layer and the cathode terminal member, respectively. |
