PURPOSE: A clock generator for a refresh operation is provided to reduce the current consumption by differentiating a refresh period according to temperature variation. CONSTITUTION: A side of a first MOS(Metal Oxide Semiconductor) transistor(MP1) is connected to a source voltage(VDD) and the other side thereof is connected to a gate terminal in order to output a first bias voltage(Vp) to the gate terminal. A side of a second MOS transistor is connected to a ground voltage(VSS) and the other side thereof is connected to a gate terminal in order to output a second bias voltage(Vn) to the gate terminal. A bias current controller(40) includes a plurality of diodes(MP2_1,MP2_2,...,MP2_n), which are connected in serial, so as to have a resistance component in inverse proportion to temperature. The bias current controller(40) is provided between the first MOS transistor(MP1) and the second MOS transistor. A clock generator(200) outputs a clock for a refresh operation. A frequency of the clock is in proportion to levels of the first and second bias voltages(Vp,Vn). 본 발명은 온도에 따라 리프레쉬 동작 주기를 최적으로 조절할 수 있는 리프레쉬 동작용 클럭을 출력하는 리프레쉬 동작용 클럭발생기를 제공하기 위한 것으로, 이를 위해 본 발명은 일측이 전원전압에 접속되고, 게이트단으로 제1 바이어스 전압을 출력하기 위해 게이트단이 타측에 접속된 제1 모스트랜지스터; 일측이 접지전압에 접속되고, 게이트단으로 제2 바이어스 전압을 출력하기 위해 게이트단이 타측에 접속된 제2 모스트랜지스터; 온도에 반비례하도록 저항성분을 가지도록 하기 위해서 직렬로 연결된 다수의 다이오드를 구비하여, 상기 제1 모스트랜지스터와 상기 제2 모스트랜지스터의 사이에 제공되는 바이어스 전류 조절수단; 및 상기 제1 및 제2 바이어스 전압 레벨에 클럭 주파수가 비례하는 리프레쉬 동작용 클럭을 출력하기 위한 클럭생성부를 구비하는 리프레쉬 동작용 클럭발생기를 제공한다.
