PURPOSE: A method for recording/playing the synch information of the Karaoke data is provided to record the Karaoke data comprising Midi data, lyric sync data, and lyric data by periodically inserting a sync code, and precisely output the data by synchronizing the Midi data with the lyric data based on the sync code. CONSTITUTION: A Karaoke system searches a song selected by a user from a Karaoke disc(S10). The Karaoke data of the searched song is temporarily stored in an internal buffer(S11). The Karaoke system reads/plays the Karaoke data stored in the internal buffer by reading/playing the video data of the searched song(S14). The Karaoke system performs a Karaoke data sync playback operation for making a sound of the Midi data and a caption image of the lyric data output in a sync state continuously by reading a code value of the sync code and the lyric data having the same code value at the same time(S15). If a sync end code is detected and the playback of the Karaoke data is completed during the sync playback of the Karaoke data, the playback operation of the selected song is terminated(S18). 본 발명은, 가라오케 데이터의 동기 정보 기록 및 재생방법에 관한 것으로, 가라오케 디스크를 제작(Authoring)하는 과정, 또는 가라오케 데이터 기록 시스템에 포함 구비된 광디스크 장치 등에서, 미디 데이터와, 가사 동기 데이터, 그리고 가사 데이터로 이루어지는 오디오 곡의 가라오케 데이터 기록시, 미디 데이터와 가사 데이터를 동기화시키기 위한 별도의 동기 코드(Sync Code)를 주기적으로 삽입 기록하고, 가라오케 데이터 재생시, 그 동기 코드를 기준으로, 미디 데이터와 가사 데이터를 정확하게 동기화시켜 재생 출력함으로써, 광디스크 장치에 의해 재생 출력되는 미디 데이터와 가사 데이터간에 동기가 틀어지는 것을 원천적으로 방지시킬 수 있게 되는 매우 유용한 매우 유용한 발명인 것이다.
