Summary:PURPOSE: A weed-preventing paper containing at least one cross-shaped insertion hole which a plant passes through is provided. The weed-preventing paper contains weed-preventing agent which has sun-light blocking effect. CONSTITUTION: The weed-preventing paper used for plant cultivation consists of: a paper body containing at least one cross-shaped insertion hole which a plant passes; a weed-preventing agent contained in the paper body to block sun-light, consequently to prevent the growth of weeds around the plant; and a water indicator containing a moisture content indicating agent to suggest time to water the plant. The moisture content indicating agent is cobalt chloride and is printed on the paper in the shape of letters or figures. The weed-preventing paper is an inorganic or organic filler selected from the group consisting of carbon black, silica dioxide and titanium dioxide.
