PURPOSE: A method for storing retrieved browser contents in a portable terminal is provided to select a folder of a corresponding field among classified folders, and to store contents of a selected item of the folder, in order to store retrieved contents of a browser in a portable terminal, so that a user can see the retrieved contents without re-accessing the browser. CONSTITUTION: A user access a browser(100), and retrieves an item(101). When a menu key is inputted, a controller senses the menu key and displays a selected menu(102). If the user selects a sentence storage function, the controller senses the function and displays a kind of the sentence storage function(103). The controller senses that folders are designated(104), and displays the folders according to each field(105). If the user selects one of the folders(106), the controller inputs a name of contents of an item(107). If the user wants to store the name, the controller stores item contents according to the stored name(108). 본 발명은 브라우저에서 검색한 내용을 휴대용 단말기에 저장하는 방법이, 브라우저에 접속하여 아이템을 선택하는 과정과, 상기 선택된 아이템의 내용 저장 시, 본문저장을 선택하는 과정과, 상기 본문저장의 종류 중 폴더지정 선택 시, 분야별 폴더들이 표시되는 과정과, 상기 본문저장의 종류 중 새 폴더 만들기 선택 시, 신규 폴더를 등록하는 과정과, 상기 분야별로 분류된 폴더들 중 해당분야의 폴더를 선택하여 상기 선택된 아이템의 내용을 저장하는 과정으로 이루어짐을 특징으로 한다.
