PURPOSE: An over-current relay is provided to satisfy an arbitrary coordination condition by analyzing the information on the operating characteristics of over-current relay. CONSTITUTION: An over-current circuit breaker comprises a correction module for taking, as an input, a system arbitrary coordination condition, and creating a curve on time-current characteristics of the circuit breaker; and an operating module for determining an operating time upon occurrence of faults, from the curve on time-current characteristics created by the correction module, and generating a breaking signal in accordance with the operating time. The correction module takes, as an input, system configuration data, calculates a pick-up and maximum current, sets the arbitrary coordination condition including the operating time during pick-up and operating time at the maximum current, and determines and stored the time-current characteristics for over-current circuit breaking. 본 발명은 보호협조 조건을 모두 만족시키는 과전류 계전기에 관한 것으로, 종래의 디지털 과전류계전기와 같이 기계식 과전류계전기의 특성을 그대로 수식으로 표현한 것이 아니라, 주변의 과전류계전기의 동작특성에 관한 정보를 분석하여 주변의 과전류계전기와 보호협조 조건을 모두 만족할 수 있는 과전류 계전기 및 이를 사용한 과전류 계전 방법을 제공하기 위한 것이다. 본 발명의 전력 계통의 과전류 차단 보호 장치는, 계통 보호협조 조건을 입력받아 보호 장치의 시간-전류 특성 곡선을 생성하는 정정 모듈과, 정정 모듈에 의해 생성된 시간-전류 특성 곡선으로부터 사고시 동작 시간을 결정하고, 동작 시간에 따라 차단 신호를 발생하는 운전 모듈을 포함한다.
