PURPOSE: A surface treating method of animal fiber products and animal fiber material is characterized by adhering powder of natural radioactive rare element mineral sufficiently to get sufficient effect from the mineral and not making the powder removed in washing to maintain the effect. CONSTITUTION: Animal fiber having a scaly surface paralleled many scales(3) is obtained by adhering natural radioactive rare element mineral powder(4) and a surface treatment(5). Animal fiber material containing the animal fiber is cotton, a top(1), yarn, knitted goods, textile, non-woven fabric and felt. The animal fiber material is useful for clothes, one's belongings, shoes, bedclothes and indoor equipment. The surface treatment is selected from the group containing a shrink treatment, a hydrophilic reforming agent, a crease inhibiting treatment, an antibacterial agent and a deodorizer. 충분한 양의 천연 방사선 희유원소 광물의 미분말을 부착시킬 수 있고, 또, 세탁시에 그 미분말을 떨어지기 어렵게 하는 동물 섬유품 및 동물 섬유소재의 표면 처리방법을 제공한다. 양모섬유 톱(1)의 양모섬유(2)의 인편상 표면에 천연 방사선 희유원소 광물의 미분말(4)을 표면 처리제(5)로서의 방축 처리제와 함께 부착시킨다. 미분말(4)은, 인편(3)의 내측부에도 부착시키고, 또한, 인편(3)이 자연상태보다도 열린 상태에서 그 내측부에 부착시킨다.
