Summary:PURPOSE: A bumper beam for a vehicle is provided to improve the stiffness and shock absorbing power of the bumper beam by integrating front and rear surfaces with upper and lower surfaces and having a closed-section structure. CONSTITUTION: A bumper beam for a vehicle is formed with front and rear surfaces(11,12) and upper and lower surfaces(13,14) integrally, and has a closed-section structure. Two horizontal ribs(15) connect the front surface to the rear surface, and divide the inner space of the beam into three spaces(16,17,18). A foaming unit(11a) is integrally formed at the front surface, and reinforces the front surface and the middle space(17). The front surface, the rear surface, and the horizontal ribs are different in thickness. 본 발명은 차량용 범퍼 빔에 관한 것으로서, 더욱 상세하게는 전면 및 후면, 그리고 상면 및 하면이 모두 일체로 성형된 폐단면구조를 가지면서 상기 폐단면의 내부공간이 상기 전면과 후면을 연결하는 두 개의 수평 리브에 의해 상부공간, 중간공간 및 하부공간으로 나누어져 서로 밀폐된 구조로 되어 있고, 상기 중간공간을 포함하는 전면에 보강을 위한 포밍부가 일체로 형성된 동시에 상기 전면, 후면 및 리브의 두께 분포가 강도 및 에너지 흡수능력의 향상이 가능한 최적 형태로 설정됨으로써, 전체적인 충돌성능이 향상되어진 차량용 범퍼 빔을 제공하고자 한 것이다.
