PURPOSE: A health food composition containing a lower alcohol extract fraction of Hovenia dulcis Nakai and polysaccharides separated therefrom is provided. It has effects of reducing fatigue caused by exercise, overwork, drinking, learning, work, stress or the like and improving exercise capacity and thus can be used as a health food and a sports drink. CONSTITUTION: A health food composition comprises 0.1 to 15% by weight of a lower alcohol extract fraction of Hovenia dulcis Nakai, polysaccharides separated therefrom and additionally one or more selected from amino acid, vitamin, mineral, organic acid, sugars, natural herbal extracts and the like. The lower alcohol is selected from the group consisting of methanol, ethanol and butanol.
