Summary: | PURPOSE: A photopolymerizable composition, a color filter containing a black matrix prepared by using the composition and a LCD using the color filter are provided, to obtain sufficient sensitivity and resolution and a high light screening property, and to obtain a black matrix with high precision at low cost. CONSTITUTION: The photopolymerizable composition comprises (a) a black colorant; (b) an epoxy acrylate resin containing carboxyl group, as an organic binder; and (c) an oxime ester compound as a photopolymerization initiator. Preferably the oxime ester compound is represented by the formula 1, wherein R2 is a substituted or unsubstituted C2-C12 alkanoyl, C4-C6 alkenoyl, benzoyl, C2-C6 alkoxycarbonyl or phenoxycarbonyl group. Preferably the composition comprises further a photopolymerizable monomer and/or a polymer dispersant containing basic functional group. Preferably the organic binder is an epoxy acrylate obtained by reacting the product of a novolac epoxy resin and (meth)acrylic acid with (hydro)phthalic anhydride. |
