PURPOSE: A device for grinding optical fiber array is provided to uniformly grind the optical fiber array by elastically supporting the optical fiber array into grinding paper. CONSTITUTION: A motor is installed in a main body(110). A rotary plate(111) is installed at the upper center of the main body, and is rotated by the motor. A jig(120) is located above the rotary plate, and has a horizontal member(121), and legs(125) extended from both ends of the horizontal member downward and fixed to the main body. A plurality of holders(130) are installed at both sides of the horizontal member, and includes an upper plate coupled to the top of the horizontal member, a vertical plate coupled to the side surface of the horizontal member, a moving member, and an elastic member. The moving member is movably installed at the vertical plate, and contacts with optical fiber array. The elastic member elastically supports the optical fiber array fixed to the moving member so that the bottom of the optical fiber array contacts with grinding paper(112). 광섬유가 집적된 광섬유어레이를 연마하는 광섬유어레이의 연마장치가 개시된다. 상기 연마장치는 그 구조상 지그의 양측면에 많은 홀더를 설치할 수 있으므로 한번에 많은 광섬유어레이를 연마할 수 있다. 또한, 광섬유어레이가 탄성부재에 의하여 연마지측으로 탄성ㆍ지지되므로, 광섬유어레이를 홀더에 설치할 때, 광섬유어레이의 하단부측을 홀더의 하측으로 충분하게 노출시키기만 하면 된다. 즉, 광섬유어레이를 홀더에 설치하는 작업이 대단히 편리할 뿐만 아니라 탄성부재로 인하여 광섬유어레이들이 균일하게 연마되는 특징이 있다.
