PURPOSE: A digital TV is provided to enable a digital TV receiver to individually control a system when the system is to be rebooted owing to an abnormal situation of an operating system in the digital TV receiver, thereby enabling a viewer to watch the digital TV. CONSTITUTION: A digital TV receiver(100) inputs a broadcasting stream, performs a decoding process, and outputs a digital broadcasting program to a viewer. A host CPU(300) and a local CPU(400) control an operating system useful for the digital TV receiver(100). A glue logic portion(200) periodically checks a state of the operating system, and enables either the host CPU(300) or the local CPU(400) to select a control right of the digital TV receiver(100). The local CPU(400) and the glue logic portion(200) are configured together within the digital TV receiver(100) through a local bus line. The host CPU(300) and an HDD are configured outside the digital TV receiver(100) through a PCI bus line. 본 발명은 운영체제를 가지는 디지털 티브이 수신부에서 운영체제의 비정상적인 상황으로 인해 시스템을 재부팅 하여야 할 때, 디지털 티브이 수신부가 독자적으로 제어할 수 있도록 하기 위한 것으로서, 외부에서 방송 스트림을 입력받아 영상처리에 따른 디코딩을 수행하여 시청자에게 디지털 방송을 출력하는 DTV 수신부와, 상기 DTV 수신부를 사용하는데 편리함을 제공하는 운영체제를 제어하는 호스트 CPU 및 로컬 CPU와, 상기 운영체제 상태를 주기적으로 체크하고 상기 체크결과 정상상태이면 상기 호스트 CPU에, 비정상상태이면 상기 로컬 CPU에 상기 DTV 수신부의 제어권을 이양하는 글루 로직부를 포함하여 구성되어 운영체제가 비정상적인 상태가 될 경우에도 디지털 티브이 수신부를 독립적으로 제어하여 시청자가 디지털 티브이를 시청할 수 있게 해주는 효과가 있다.
