Summary:PURPOSE: A plasma display panel is provided to achieve improved luminance and luminous efficiency, while reducing a power consumption. CONSTITUTION: A plasma display panel comprises a front substrate and a rear substrate which are encapsulated by a discharge gas. The discharge gas is the mixture of Krypton-Xenon-Neon based gases, wherein the Krypton gas is added at the ratio of 3vol% to 50vol% to the Xenon-Neon based gases. The Xenon gas is mixed at the ratio of 4vol% to 10vol% to the mixture of Xenon-Neon based gases. 본 발명은 방전 가스로서 크립톤-네온 계의 혼합 가스를 사용하여 발광 효율을 향상시키고 동시에 소비 전력을 감소시킬 수 있는 크립톤-네온 계의 방전 가스를 적용한 플라즈마 디스플레이 패널에 관한 것으로서,크립톤(Kr)-네온(Ne)-제논(Xe) 계의 혼합 가스, 또는 크립톤(Kr)-네온(Ne)-제논(Xe)-헬륨(He) 계의 혼합 가스를 방전 가스로 이용하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
