PURPOSE: A calling method of a mobile communication terminal in a locked state is provided to consecutively input a password for unlocking and input a calling number for making a call, and to maintain a locked state when the call is terminated, thereby simply making the call. CONSTITUTION: A controller checks whether a series of signals are inputted through a key input unit(S201). If the inputted signals correspond to emergent signals(S202), the controller temporarily unlocks a state of a mobile communication terminal to enable an emergent call(S208), and maintains a locked state after terminating the call(S206,S207). If the inputted signals are not the emergent signals(S203), the controller checks whether an inputted password is equal to a password for unlocking(S204). If so, the controller temporarily unlocks the mobile communication terminal to enable a general call(S205). If the general call is terminated, the controller maintains the locked state(S206,S207). 본 발명은 잠금 상태에서 비밀번호와 발신 전화번호를 연속적으로 입력함으로써 통화가 가능하게 하고 통화가 종료된 후에는 잠금 상태가 그대로 유지되는 이동통신 단말기의 잠금 상태에서의 통화 방법에 관한 것으로서, 이동통신 단말기의 잠금 상태를 설정하기 위한 비밀번호를 이동통신 단말기의 메모리부에 저장하는 단계와, 사용자에 의해 잠금 상태가 설정된 상태에서 키 입력부를 통해 입력되는 신호를 단말 제어부가 인식하는 단계와, 상기 입력된 신호가 비밀번호, 일반 발신 전화번호 및 통화 버튼 신호로 구성되는 경우, 상기 입력된 신호 중 비밀번호가 상기 메모리부에 기 저장되어 있는 잠금 상태의 해제를 위한 비밀번호와 일치하는 여부를 판단하는 단계와, 상기 비밀번호가 일치하는 경우 단말 제어부의 제어 하에 일련의 통화 과정을 진행하는 단계와, 상기 통화 과정이 종료된 후에 상기 단말 제어부는 이동통신 단말기를 다시 잠금 상태로 유지하는 단계를 포함하여 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 한다.
