PURPOSE: Kojic acid derivatives, a preparation method thereof and the use thereof are provided. The kojic acid derivatives have improved stability to water, low color change, and tyrosinase activity, and are thus useful for whitening the skin. CONSTITUTION: A kojic acid derivative represented by the formula(1) or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof are provided, wherein R is -H or -CH3; and n is an integer of 1 to 400. A kojic acid derivative represented by the formula(2) or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof are provided, wherein R is -H or -CH3; and n is an integer of 1 to 30. A kojic acid derivative represented by the formula(3) or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof are provided, wherein R1 and R2 are -H or -CH3; and n is an integer of 1 to 120. A method for preparing the kojic acid derivatives comprises esterification of an alcohol group of kojic acid and polyethylene glycol methyl ether of succinic acid. 본 발명은 신규 코지산 유도체 및 그 제조방법에 관한 것으로서, 안정성을 높였으며, 종래의 코지산에 비하여 유사한 정도의 티로시나아제 활성 저해율을 나타내었다.
