CONSTITUTION: The method for treating the wastewater containing TMAH etc., ammonia and hydrogen peroxide comprises a hydrogen peroxide decomposing step of decomposing the hydrogen peroxide in the wastewater; a diffusing step of diffusing the ammonia from the H2O2 removed wastewater; a thickening step of obtaining TMAH-containing concentrate by thickening the wastewater after the diffusion of the ammonia; a gasifying step of gasifying the concentrate; and a decomposing step of decomposing the gas obtained in the gasifying step and the diffused ammonia-containing gas using a catalyst. The apparatus for treating the wastewater containing TMAH etc., ammonia and hydrogen peroxide comprises a hydrogen peroxide decomposing section(51) for decomposing the hydrogen peroxide in the wastewater; a diffusing column(26) for diffusing the ammonia from the H2O2 removed wastewater; a thickening section(56) for obtaining TMAH-containing concentrate by thickening the wastewater after the diffusion of the ammonia; a gasifier(76) for gasifying the concentrate; and a catalyst reactor(18) for decomposing the gas obtained in the gasifier and the diffused ammonia-containing gas using a catalyst.
