Summary:PURPOSE: A glass panel for cathode ray tube is provided to maintain the mechanical intensity of the glass panel by defining a difference between a face center part and an end part of an effective screen within a range of 9 to 17mm. CONSTITUTION: A rectangular face part(12) is used for displaying images. A skirt part(16) is connected to the rectangular face part and a blend R part(15). A diameter of an effective screen of a diagonal axis of the face part is more than 500mm. An average curvature radius of an outer face of the rectangular face part is more than 10000mm from the total radiative direction through a face center part(13). A difference between the face center part and an end part of the effective screen from a diagonal axis of an inner face of the face part belongs to a range of 9 to 17mm. 음극선관용 유리패널은 화상이 표시되는 대략 직사각형의 페이스부와, 페이스부와 블렌드알을 통해 이어져 있는 스커트부를 구비하고 있다. 페이스부의 대각축방향에서의 유효화면지름은 500㎜ 이상이며, 페이스부의 외면의 평균곡률반지름은 페이스중심부를 통과하는 전체 방사방향에서 10000㎜ 이상이며, 페이스부의 내면의 대각축방향에서의 페이스중심부와 유효화면단부의 낙차는 9㎜~17㎜의 범위에 있다.
