Summary:PURPOSE: An electrode for a lithium secondary battery, a lithium secondary battery and a preparation method of the electrode are provided, to improve the binding affinity of a negative electrode active material and the cycle characteristic. CONSTITUTION: The electrode comprises a metal current collector; and an electrode layer containing at least an active material powder, a binder and a water-soluble polymer formed on the metal current collector, wherein the binder is an amorphous polypropylene homopolymer or an amorphous copolymer comprising propylene and an olefin of C2-C8 dispersed in a copolymer of (meth)acrylic acid and alkyl (meth)acrylate. Preferably the content of propylene in the amorphous copolymer is 50 wt% or more; the content of the binder is 0.1-10 wt% based on the weight of the active material powder; and the content of the water-soluble polymer is 0.1-10 wt% based on the weight of the active material powder. 본 발명은 리튬 화합물을 사용한 비수 전해액 이차 전지에 적합한 이차 전지용 바인더 수성 분산액을 사용한 전극 및 전지를 제공한다. 비정질 폴리프로필렌 호모폴리머 또는 프로필렌과 탄소수가 2 내지 8의 올레핀의 공중합체이며, 프로필렌의 함유율이 50 중량% 이상인 비정질 중합체를 바인더로 하고, (메타)아크릴산과 (메타)아크릴산알킬에스테르의 코폴리머를 분산제로 하는 결착제와, 수용성 고분자 및 활물질 분말로 이루어진 전극을 제공함에 따라, 종래 이차 전지보다 우수한 사이클 특성을 얻을 수 있다.
