Summary:PURPOSE: A rubber composition for a tire tread is provided, to enhance the braking performance and the low rotation resistance by improving the dispersibility in mixing with rubber. CONSTITUTION: The rubber composition comprises 100 parts by weight of a diene-based natural rubber as a base rubber; and 35-80 parts by weight of a surface-treated silica as a reinforcement. The surface-treated silica is treated with 0.5-15 parts by weight of an anhydride based on 100 parts by weight of the silica. Preferably the anhydride is maleic anhydride or phthalic anhydride. 본 발명은 무수화물로 표면처리된 실리카를 보강제로 포함하는 타이어 트레드용 고무 조성물로서, 이는 고무와의 혼합시 분산성을 향상시켜 실리카 컴파운드의 장점인 제동성능 및 저회전저항성을 향상시킬 수 있다.
