Summary: | PURPOSE: A rubber composition for a tire tread is provided, to enhance the braking performance and the low rotation resistance by improving the dispersibility in mixing with rubber. CONSTITUTION: The rubber composition comprises 100 parts by weight of a diene-based natural rubber as a base rubber; and 35-80 parts by weight of a surface-treated silica as a reinforcement. The surface-treated silica is treated with 0.5-15 parts by weight of an anhydride based on 100 parts by weight of the silica. Preferably the anhydride is maleic anhydride or phthalic anhydride.
