PURPOSE: A drum type washing machine used as a drier is provided to prevent a baby or a pet from being choked in a drum by ventilating a condensing duct, and to improve drying efficiency by restricting inflow of outer air into the tub in drying and outflow of detergent bubbles in washing. CONSTITUTION: A drum type washing machine used as a drier is composed of a tub(56) installed in a cabinet(52) by a spring(54a) and a damper(54b) and composed of a drum(58) rotating; a drying duct(82) and a condensing duct(84) drying the laundry with drying air in the tub; and a ventilating unit(90) circulating air into the condensing duct. The ventilating unit has a ball housing formed in a water supply nozzle(86), a vent hole communicated with atmosphere and formed in the upper part of the ball housing, and a float ball embedded in the ball housing to close the vent hole with floating in supplying condensate. 본 발명은 건조겸용 드럼세탁기에 관한 것으로서, 특히 응축덕트 내부로 공기가 통하도록 형성되어 드럼 내부에 사람이나 애완동물이 드럼 내부에 갖히더라도 질식하는 것을 방지할 수 있는 건조겸용 드럼세탁기에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 건조겸용 드럼세탁기는 세탁물이 놓여지는 터브가 내측에 회전 가능하게 설치되는 터브와, 상기 터브 내측의 공기를 건조시켜 세탁물을 건조시키는 건조덕트 및 응축덕트와, 상기 응축덕트 내부로 공기가 통하도록 형성된 통기수단을 포함하여 구성된다.
