PURPOSE: Chroman derivatives, a preparation method thereof, and a dermatoiogics composition containing the same compounds are provided. The compounds have strong antioxidant activity and melanin formation inhibiting activity. CONSTITUTION: Chroman derivatives represented by the formulae 1 and 2 are provided, wherein R1, R2, R3 and R4 are the same or different, hydrogen, C1-C18 alkyl, alkoxy, alkenyl or alkynyl. A process for preparing the chroman derivatives of the formulae 1 and 2 comprises the steps of: (A) reacting thionyl chloride with kojic acid in an organic solvent to prepare nonyl chloride; (B) reacting trolox with hydroxide salt to prepare trolox salt; and (C) reacting the trolox salt with koji chloride in an organic solvent. A dermatoiogics composition contains the chroman derivatives of the formulae 1 and 2 in the amount of 0.001 to 20 wt.%. 본 발명은 신규한 크로만 유도체 및 이의 제조방법, 및 이를 함유하는 피부 외용제 조성물에 관한 것으로, 보다 상세하게는 강력한 항산화 효과가 있는 트롤록스와 멜라닌 생성을 억제하는 효과가 있는 코지산을 결합시켜 제조되며, 하기 화학식 1 및 2로 표시되는 신규한 크로만 유도체 및 이의 제조방법과 이를 함유하는 피부 외용제 조성물에 관한 것이다.
