PURPOSE: An automatic voltage control unit for generator is provided to produce the electric power of high quality by forming a digital automatic voltage control system having a control function, a protection function, a synchronization function, and a display function. CONSTITUTION: An automatic voltage control unit for generator includes a control portion(110), a power transformer portion, and a display input portion. The control portion(110) controls and protects totally a system and processes an input signal and an output signal. The power transformer portion is electrically connected to the control portion(110) in order to insulate, filter, and scale the input signal according to a command of the control portion(110) and supplies the field current to a generator. The display input portion is electrically to the control portion(110) in order to display a state of operation and set up an operating function. The control portion(110) includes a microprocessor(111) for processing the input and the output signals, a memory(112) for storing data and control programs, a communication port(113) connected to an external device, a display/key input portion(114) for displaying the state of operation and receiving the data, an A/D converter(115) for converting an analog signal to a digital signal, an analog signal processing portion(116) for processing the analog signal, a logic element(117) for performing a logical operation, and a digital input/output portion(118) for performing an inputting and an outputting operation of the digital signal. 본 발명에 따른 발전기의 자동 전압 조정장치는, 시스템을 총체적으로 제어 및 보호하는 한편 입출력 신호를 처리하는 제어부; 상기 제어부와 전기적으로 접속되며, 제어부의 명령에 따라 입력신호를 절연, 필터링, 스케일링을 수행하고, 발전기에 계자 전류를 공급하는 전력변환부; 및 상기 제어부와 전기적으로 접속되며, 각종 운전상태의 표시와 운전기능의 설정을 위한 표시입력부를 포함하여 구성된다. 이와 같은 본 발명에 의하면, 제어기능, 보호기능, 동기 투입기능, 표시기능 등이 일체화된 디지털 자동 전압 조정 시스템을 채용하고 있어, 발전기의 출력전압의 속응성을 높여 양질의 전력을 발생하고, 제어반 구성을 단순화하며, 발전기를 한층 안정적으로 운전할 수 있다.
