PURPOSE: A system and a method for coding/decoding a voice packet in real time are provided to improve the coding speed of the voice packet by extracting a specific component from the voice packet. CONSTITUTION: A vocoder(110) compresses a voice signal to output it as a voice packet. A formant extractor(120) separates a formant component and a residual component from voice packet components outputted from the vocoder(110). A substitution table generator(140) generates a substitution table used for coding the formant component. A coding unit(130) codes the formant component by using the substitution table. A packet coupling unit(150) couples the coded formant component to the residual component of the voice packet transmitted from the formant extractor(120). 본 발명은 실시간 음성 패킷 암/복호화 시스템 및 그 암/복호화 방법에 관한 것으로, VoIP(Voice over Internet Protocol)의 음성 패킷을 블록암호(Block Ciper)방식으로 암/복호화하는 종래의 기술에서 수반되는 기술적 어려움과 경제적인 손실을 최소화할 수 있는 음성 패킷 암/복호화 시스템 및 그 암/복호화 방법에 관한 것이다. 이를 위해, 본 발명은 종래의 보코더 압축/복원부의 출력인 음성 패킷의 정보를 모두 암호화하는 H.235 권고안 대신에, 보코더 압축/복원부의 특성을 이용해 음성신호의 의미를 전달하는 포만트(Formant)성분만을 음성 패킷에서 추출하고, 추출된 포만트성분을 전치암호(Permutation Ciper)방식을 이용하여 암/복호화하는 음성 패킷 암/복호화 시스템 및 그 암/복호화 방법을 제공한다. 따라서, 본 발명은 종래의 블록암호방식을 이용한 음성 패킷 암/복호화 시스템에서 필수적으로 요구되는 고가의 프로세서가 필요없어 종래의 기술에서 수반되는 기술적 어려움과 경제적인 손실을 최소화하면서 음성 패킷의 고속 암호화를 구현할 수 있다.
