Summary:PURPOSE: A hydrogen storage alloy reactor is provided to prevent breakage of a reaction container by receiving the expanded volume of hydrogen storage alloy in the reaction container although the hydrogen storage alloy, filled in the reaction container, expands. CONSTITUTION: A hydrogen storage alloy reactor comprises a reaction container(52) connected to a distributing pip in which hydrogen flows and communicated with the inside of the distributing pipe; a hydrogen passage pipe(53) installed inside the reaction container to be paralleled to the longitudinal direction of the reaction container; hydrogen storage alloy(54) filled in a space formed by the hydrogen passage pipe and the reaction container; and a volume-receiving unit(55) installed inside the reaction container. The hydrogen passage pipe forms a hydrogen passage(53a), and hydrogen of the hydrogen passage flows in and out through the hydrogen passage pipe. The hydrogen storage alloy expands in exothermic reaction according to absorption of hydrogen and extracts in endothermic reaction according to discharge of hydrogen. The volume-receiving unit broadens or narrows the space filled with the hydrogen storage alloy according to the expanding or contracting volume of the hydrogen storage alloy. Thus, breakage of the reaction container is prevented. 본 발명은 반응용기 내에 충전된 수소저장합금이 팽창되더라도 반응용기 내에서 수소저장합금의 팽창된 부피를 수용하도록 하여 반응용기가 파손되는 것을 방지하도록 한 것이다. 이를 위해, 본 발명은 수소가 유동하는 분배관(1)에 연결되어 분배관(1)의 내부와 연통되는 반응용기(52)와; 상기 반응용기 내부에 반응용기(52)의 길이방향에 평행하도록 설치되어 수소 유로(53a)를 형성하며, 수소 유로의 수소가 유출입되도록 하는 수소 유로관(53)과; 상기 수소유로관과 반응용기(52)에 의해 형성된 공간에 충전되어 수소가 흡수됨에 따라 발열반응할 때는 팽창되는 한편 수소가 방출됨에 따라 흡열반응할 때에는 수축되는 수소저장합금(54)과; 상기 반응용기(52)의 내부에 설치되어 상기 수소저장합금(54)이 팽창 및 수축함에 따라 그 부피만큼 수소저장합금이 충전된 공간을 넓히거나 좁혀주는 부피수용수단(55):을 포함하여 이루어진 수소저장합금 반응기를 제공한다.
