Summary:PURPOSE: A mobile phone and a data display method are provided to display data according to a select input type on a display window as divided according to selection of a window dividing function while a user is writing a character message. CONSTITUTION: When a user selects a character message function to transmit a character message, a controller displays a transmission character message created by the user on one input display window(310). The controller judges whether a reception character message and a call setup request have been received from an external wireless communication network or whether the user has selected a window dividing function, and if the user selects the window dividing function, the controller discriminates a selection input type(320). The controller divides the display window into two section, and displays the transmission character message being created in one section and a data corresponding to a selection input type in another section of the display window. 휴대전화기 및 그 데이터 표시방법이 개시된다. 본 발명에 따른 휴대전화기는 사용자가 송신 문자메시지를 작성할 경우 작성되는 송신 문자메시지를 하나의 표시창에 표시하면서, 창 분할기능 선택입력이 있으면 그 종류를 판별한 다음 표시창을 분할하여 분할된 하나의 표시창에는 작성하던 송신 문자메시지를 표시하고, 다른 하나의 표시창에는 판별된 선택입력 종류에 따른 데이터를 표시한다. 이에 의해 사용자는 송신 문자메시지의 작성 중 작성하던 송신 문자메시지를 유실하지 않고서도 다른 기능을 수행할 수 있고 문자메시지를 사용한 문자통화를 원활하게 할 수 있게 된다.
