PURPOSE: A system and method for managing a material information database is provided to manage material information being used in liquid crystal display computer simulation integrally. CONSTITUTION: A material information file loading module(111) loads material information in a memory from a file. A material information file storing module(112) creates a file based on material information in the memory. New material information file storing module(113) creates a file based on new material information. A material deletion module(121) deletes selected material information in the memory. A material adding module(122) adds new material to material information loaded in the memory. A material information memory update module(123) loads material information changed by a user in the memory for using the material information in the computer simulation, and updates existing data. A material title output module(210) outputs a title of material information loaded in the memory for the user. A material information output module(220) of selected material title takes a material selected by the user in the memory and outputs the material to the user. A material information path name managing module(230) displays a path of a material information file to the user and inputs a path when storing the file.
