PURPOSE: A structure of setting a flexible board in a flat panel display and a method of setting the flexible board are provided to directly mount the flexible board on a main board without using a separate connector. CONSTITUTION: A flat panel display includes a display panel(60) for displaying information, and a flexible board(71) placed between the display panel and a main board(85). The flexible board has a panel connecting part(72) and a control signal input part(73). A drive IC(74) for driving the display panel is formed at one side of the flexible board. The control signal input part of the flexible board is fused onto the main board using a conductive adhesive. The conductive adhesive includes solder. 본 발명은 평면표시장치에서 디스플레이 패널과 메인보드 사이를 연결하여 디스플레이 패널에 구동 신호를 송신하도록 하는 플렉시블 기판에 관한 것으로서, 특히 플렉시블 기판이 메인보드에 연결되는 장착구조가 개선됨으로써, 커넥터가 생략되어 평면표시장치가 설치되는 제품의 크기가 축소되고, 재료비가 절감될 수 있도록 한 평면표시장치용 플렉시블 기판의 장착구조 및 장착방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 정보가 표시되는 디스플레이 패널과, 상기 디스플레이 패널과 메인보드 사이에 설치되도록 패널 연결부 및 컨트롤 신호 입력부가 형성되고 일 측에 상기 디스플레이 패널을 구동시키는 드라이브 IC가 장착되어 COF 모듈을 이루는 플렉시블 기판이 포함되어 이루어진 평면표시장치에 있어서, 상기 플렉시블 기판은 상기 컨트롤 신호 입력부가 상기 메인보드에 도전성 접착제에 의해 직접 융착된 것을 특징으로 한다.
