Summary:PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing cast slab by continuous casting process is provided to maintain the surface shape of cast slab in the good state even at a high speed casting atmosphere and prevent operation defects such as breakout by properly heating meniscus portion only to fundamentally prevent slag from being entrapped into molten steel after injecting mold flux. CONSTITUTION: In a method for manufacturing cast slab by continuous casting as continuously supplying molten steel(12) into mold(10) and supplying mold flux(1) onto the surface of molten steel inside the mold, the method for manufacturing cast slab by continuous casting process is characterized in that the mold flux is a liquid phase mold flux(3) having basicity of 0.8 or less and fusion point of 850 deg.C or less, a region which is within 20 mm from meniscus on a portion where the mold(10) and mold flux are contacted with each other is heated using a halogen lamp(13), and heating by the halogen lamp is performed by radiant heat generated from the halogen lamp by impressing a power of 10 to 30 watts per square centimeter of molten metal surface to the halogen lamp. 본 발명은 용강을 연속주조하여 주편을 제조하는 방법에 관한 것으로서, 연속주조시 액상의 몰드플럭스를 투입한 후 메니스커스 부위만을 적절히 가열함으로써 슬래그 베어를 근원적으로 차단하여 고속 주조 환경에서도 주편 표면 형상을 양호하게 유지하고 브렉아웃 등의 조업결함을 방지하고자 하는데, 그 목적이 있다. 본 발명은 용강을 몰드내에 연속적으로 공급하고, 상기 몰드내의 용강표면에 몰드 플럭스를 공급하면서 연소주조하여 주편을 제조하는 방법에 있어서, 상기 몰드 플럭스로서 그 상이 액상이고, 그 염기도가 0.8이하이고, 그리고 그 융점이 850℃이하인 몰드플럭스를 사용하고; 그리고 상기 몰드와 몰드플럭스가 접하는 부위를 할로겐 램프로 가열하여 슬래그 베어를 근원적으로 차단하는 연속주조방법에 의한 주편의 제조방법에 관한 것이다.
