Summary:PURPOSE: Provided are an electrophotographic photosensitive member, and a process cartridge and an electrophotographic apparatus using the electrophotographic photosensitive member. CONSTITUTION: The electrophotographic photosensitive member includes a conductive support, and a charge generation layer, a charge transport layer and a protective layer provided thereon in this order. In the member, the layer thickness a0 (micrometer) of the charge transport layer at the middle portion of the conductive support in its generatrix direction, the layer thickness b0 (micrometer) of the protective layer at the middle portion of the conductive support in its generatrix direction, the layer thickness a (micrometer) of the charge transport layer at a portion other than the middle portion and the layer thickness b (micrometer) of the protective layer at the portion other than the middle portion satisfy the following expression (1) in a region satisfying 0.8 (micrometer)<=(a0-a)<=3.0 (micrometer): b0*(a/a0)¬3<=b(micrometer)<=b0*(a/a0)¬1/4 (1). 도전성 지지체을 포함하고 이 도전성 지지체 위에 적어도 전하발생층, 전하수송층 및 보호층을 이 순서로 갖는 전자사진감광부재에 있어서, 상기 도전성 지지체의 모선 방향의 중앙부에서의 전하수송층의 층 두께 a(μm), 상기 도전성 지지체의 모선 방향의 중앙부에서의 보호층의 층 두께 b(μm), 상기 중앙부 이외의 부분에서의 전하수송층의 층 두께 a(μm) 및 상기 중앙부 이외의 부분에서의 보호층의 층 두께 b(μm)가 0.8(μm) ≤(a- a) ≤3.0(μm)를 만족하는 영역에서 다음과 같은 식을 만족한다. b×(a/a)≤ b(μm) ≤ b×(a/a) 또한, 위와 같은 전자사진감광부재를 갖는 공정카트리지 및 전자사진 장치가 교시되어 있다.
