PURPOSE: A method for processing PM(Performance Monitoring) data of a transmission system is provided to enable the PM data to be delivered efficiently, when a main controller stores data reported from a transmission equipment and form the PM data. CONSTITUTION: Each sub controller collects and accumulates PM data whenever a fault is generated(S510). Whether a fault is generated in a transmission equipment is checked(S520). If not, a zero flag field is maintained to 0(zero), and if generated, the zero flag field is changed to 1(one)(S530,S540). A main controller checks whether 15 minutes, a predetermined time interval, passes(S550). If so, each sub controller reports PM data to the main controller(S560). The main controller checks whether the zero flag field is 1(one), to see whether the PM data are actually accumulated PM data(S570). If so, the main controller stores the PM data in a register(S580). 본 발명은 전송장비에서 보고되는 데이터를 주제어부가 축적하여 성능감시 데이터(PM Data)를 형성하는 경우에 성능감시 데이터의 전달이 효율적으로 이루어지도록 한 전송시스템의 성능감시 데이터 처리 방법을 제공하기 위한 것으로, 이러한 본 발명은, 각 부제어부가 설정된 시간간격 동안 성능감시 데이터를 수집하는 단계와; 설정된 시간간격이 경과한 경우에 각 부제어부가 장비의 실제 성능감시 데이터가 누적되었는지 여부를 나타내는 플래그 정보를 수집된 성능감시 데이터와 함께 주제어부로 보고하는 단계와; 주제어부는 플래그 정보를 참조하여 실제 누적되어진 성능감시 데이터를 선별한 후, 선별된 성능감시 데이터를 저장하는 단계를 포함하여 이루어지며, 주제어부의 불필요한 데이터 처리 작업을 줄임으로써 다량의 데이터를 처리하는 번거로움을 줄이고 수행속도 향상 및 데이터 일관성 유지가 가능케 된다.
