Summary: | PURPOSE: A manufacturing method of a polarizing plate and a liquid crystal display apparatus employing the polarizing plate are provided to improve transmissivity and polarization of the liquid crystal display by increasing the elongation rate of a second bath higher than a first bath. CONSTITUTION: A polyvinyl alcohol film is dyed with the dyeing solution including bicolor iodine, and cross-linked with the cross-linking agent. A polarizing plate is manufactured by elongating the polyvinyl alcohol film with a couple of rolls. Two or more baths containing the cross-linking agent are installed. The elongation rate of the first bath is to be one to four times, and the elongation rate of the second bath is to be more than the elongation rate of the first bath. Following the second bath, the temperature of the bath is 5 deg.C higher than the temperature of the first bath, and the temperature of the first bath is within the range of 10-90 deg.C.
