Summary:PURPOSE: A process of preparing a pharmaceutical composition containing a Rhus verniciflua extract as a main component is provided. Whereby, the composition has an improving effect on the secretion of sex hormone. CONSTITUTION: The Rhus verniciflua extract is prepared by the steps of: drying Rhus verniciflua in the shade for from 1 week to 3 months; extracting it in an organic solvent containing acetone, ethanol, methanol and a mixture thereof at 20 to 60deg.C; and then subjecting the crude extract to silica gel adsorption chromatography employing a mixture of chloroform and methanol. The effective amount of the Rhus verniciflua extract is in the range of 10 to 200mg/kg weight/day. 본 발명은 옻나무()의 유기용매 추출물을 유효성분으로 포함하는 성호르몬 분비 촉진용 조성물에 관한 것으로, 본 발명의 조성물은 우수한 성호르몬 분비 촉진효과를 갖는다.
