Summary:PURPOSE: A cooling fluid system and a method of cooling a super-conducting machine are provided to enable continuous super-conducting of the super-conducting machine until a main cooling system is repaired and is re-operated. CONSTITUTION: A cooling fluid system for providing cryogenic cooling fluid to a super-conducting machine includes a main cooling system(52) and a second cooling system(54). The second cooling system comprises a storage device(74) having a first cryogenic fluid, and at least one cooling coupling in fluid communication with the first cryogenic fluid flowing from the storage device and with a second cryogenic fluid flowing through the main cooling system. The second cooling system has a first operational mode during which the first cryogenic fluid does not flow through the at least one cooling coupling, and a second operational mode during which the first cryogenic fluid does flow through the at least one cooling coupling. The second cooling system is switched from the first operational mode to the second operational mode while the main cooling system is disabled. 고온 초전도 기계에 저온 냉각 유체를 제공하는 냉각 유체 시스템이 개시되며, 상기 시스템은 주냉각 시스템(52, 88)과 제 2 냉각 시스템을 구비하고, 상기 제 2 냉각 시스템은 제 1 저온 유체를 갖는 저장 장치와, 저장 장치로부터의 제 1 저온 유체와 주냉각 시스템을 통해 흐르는 제 2 저온 유체와 유체 연통하는 적어도 하나의 냉각 커플링을 포함한다.
